Also, here’s a fun little story of my first Ria Mae encounter: I remember being at my first Juno Awards and they announced a nomination for Ria Mae and literally everyone in the arena freaked out and it felt like every single person there wanted her to win. I turned to the President of Sony Canada and said “is she signed with you guys? How come you want her to win?” He said “no, she used to be, but I will always cheer for Ria, she’s one of the best humans you will ever meet”. Truer words could not be spoken. Thanks Ria for trusting me to be part of this one! Can’t wait for the next 🙏

For some reason a lot of the music I’m releasing over the next couple months feels so relevant to whatever this new world is that we’re all in, and headlock is the epitome of that for so many people.
